Your best bet is to give them a call and ask them if they are for sale to
the public.
My bet is they are not. Raincoast is a book wholesaler catering mostly to
the book sellers in western Canada.
If this is a promotional calendar (you were not specific in your posting)
then this was likely sent out with a bookstore's order as a promo offer. In
that case it is likely not available. You might try going back to the
bookstore with a nice replacement calender, a smile, and your story about
being an avid Viewmaster collector.
To clinch the deal you might try buying aunt Sara a nice expensive coffee
table photobook while you are there.
Now you might also try doing a search for Raincoast Books on the internet.
They have a website, but their URL is not handy right now.
No sense in paying a fortune on a coffee table book, a calender, and
damaging your pride crawling behind the store owner if all you needed to
know is that he has them for sale in the next aisle! Although most book
sellers are not half as wicked as all that!!
The friendly folks at Raincoast would be able to tell you right away if the
item is available for sale. If they can't sell it directly to you because
they are a wholesaler then they will be able to tell you exactly who to
talk to in your area to get one.
Good luck.
