[photo-3d] Lenticulars etc.

When Brian Reynolds posted about "inkjetmall" offering a 99 dollar
interlacing "kit" I started salivating. However, a visit to the site and a
quick read dried those glands up quickly! This program seems to allow you
only to make a "cardboard-cutout" layered lenticular, exactly the same
limitation as with the Taiwanese i-art "i-magic" kit . Now , while it seems
that the "inkjet mall" kit makes an 8 x 10 image it is on their "opticlear"
30 material (which I will reasonable assume means 30 lines per inch) the
i-art kit only does 4 x 6 but on 50 to 60 line per inch material, thus,
essentially the same gag! You could, of course, trick the program by giving
it , say, 4 nimslo frame scans ,pretending to be 4 elements of a "motion"
sequence (and probably turn the result 90 degrees!) So to Mr. Hatfield and
other "lenticular-coveters" you still have three choices: Monte Ramstads'
$1099.00 offer, my $1000.00 offer or , Dan Shelley would probably sell you
the software he was offered for $800.00 ,with only a nominal markup!

John Billingham
