[photo-3d] Single camera stereo - ideas wanted!

Hello,

As I mentioned earlier, I am looking for ideas for
an article on single-camera stereo.

In particular, I would like to address the following
subjects:

- How to calculate the stereo base (or some thoughts
about rules and procedures for doing so)

- How to estimate the stereo base in a practical situation
(I seem to recall a method of observing the deviation -
movement of foreground with respect to the background - in
  the camera's viewfinder)

- Practical tips for taking successful successive stereo
pairs (how to keep camera aligned between two shots -
I seem to remember a long posting in photo-3d some time
  ago).

If someone (Paul Talbot) could search the photo-3d archives
for me for info on this (especially the last one), I'd very
much appreciate it. Otherwise, I have to do it myself! :(

Thank you,

George Themelis
