I used to get a lot of Nimslo lenticulars printed back when it was
affordable. I noticed that at some stage in the creation of the
lenticular image the printer decided at what depth the four layers
would converge. Usually this convergence would be at the main
subject. If this wasn't done there would be unacceptable ghosting.
Although this is analagous to setting the window for a stereo pair,
it more closely resembles overlapping the red and blue/green layers
when creating an anaglyph. It seems to me that just interlacing the
four Nimslo negatives without adjusting convergence would be a crap
shoot in terms of the quality of the final image. Is there a way to
preview the results of interlacing? Would trimming the images until
the main subjects converge in a layered test anaglyph suffice?
