Yes, Easier than RBT Jig-Splicer.  No, Spicers are cheap enough. 

I have used the RBT jig-splicer method and I hate working with tape/glue,
etc. (for my not so special 7p shots).  Don't get me wrong, I love the
clean look and materials that splicers have but would like to use guided
heat mounts.  If I see something that I deem as special, I'll remove them
from the heat mounts and put them in RBT mounts.  (That's what I've been
doing with my 5ps)

I guess I just don't have the time or patience to mess with every slide I
want to view or file.
