Linda is correct, the lens can be cut in half using a hack saw or scroll
saw. I had great success using the following lense from the Surplus Shed. I
cut it in half and the resulting lenses are thin on one edge and thick on
the other, just like most of the Holmes viewers.
71mm Diameter Ophthamic Lens - Made of CR39 hard optical plastic.. Is a
positive miniscus lens for eyeglasses. About 160mm focal length. $1.50 each
