[photo-3d] Posting guidelines

Regardless of anyone's personal preferences for quoting
an entire thread or portions thereof, the list owner
concluded (a very long time ago) that the greatest good
is served if posters quote only the directly relevant
portions of the post to which they are responding.  All
posters are expected to follow the recommended procedure.

While we are (regrettably) sidetracked onto this topic,
please take note of a few guidelines designed to make the
list as user-friendly as possible for the greatest number
of subscribers:

  - Quote selectively.(1)
  - Use relevant subject lines (& never use Re: Digest xxx)
  - Limit line length.(2)(3)
  - Use restraint in your signature lines.(1)

(1) Overly long signature lines combined with non-selective
quoting is two strikes on one swing!  Three lines should be
enough for your standard signature, IMO.

(2) Although 72 characters has been suggested in the past,
IMO 60 characters is better unless you are certain you have
the last word on the topic!

(3) Composing with a fixed width font & hard carriage returns
is generally most effective, but your mail software may also
do an adequate job if you set the options correctly.  This is
what 60 characters look like with a fixed width font:
         1         2         3         4         5         6
