A couple of friends of mine and I were discussing this one time, so one
of them tried it. Using a telephoto lens he took a picture of the full
moon just after it rose in the evening. He took the other picture of
the pair just before it set in the morning. With a distance of ~200,000
miles and a stereo base of close to 8,000 miles, it looked pretty good.
It was clearly obvious that it was a sphere and not a disc.
