This was first done 150 years ago.  Dan Shelley called 
it a "trick".  It is a stereo taken with rotation of
the subject, a common practice for pictures at high
magnifications or when a very long FL lens is used
(as in the case of astronomy).  As we know, the moon
always shows us the same face.  However, there is a
small movement which allows us to capture slightly
different angles at different times of the year.
By taking advantage of this movement you can
record two pairs where the moon shows a slight
tilt and these make a nice hyperstereo of the moon.
The effect is that the moon looks like a ball.
