OK, so it wasn't "accurate". But I loved some of the dialog:
Belana Torez to her date Tom Paris: "Let me get this straight. You've
gone to all this trouble to program a 3 dimensional environment that
projects a 2 dimensional image and now you want me to wear these to make
it look 3 dimensional again???" [Scene takes place in on a "holodeck" in
a recreation of an old earth movie house.]
[After Tom and Belana delete the rest of the audience and find a
crewmate comatose in the front row of the theatre, they discuss the
situation with the Vulcan security officer, Lt. Tuvok.]
Tuvok, holding up red-blue glasses: "Was Ensign Tabor wearing these when
he when he was found?"
Belana: "No, they were on the floor next to him."
Tom: "I don't think they cause comas."
Tuvok: "Lights strobing at certain frequencies Have been known to cause
seizures. We should analyze the optical qualities of this (pause)
movie."
So next time the discussion comes up about whether watching stereo
projection causes headaches, keep in mind that it could be much, much
worse.
FYI, the coma in this case was found to have been caused by an alien
force apart from the movie. I was certainly relieved. -Linda
