The original Kodak Brownie took a circular picture! I think it was 2.5" in
diameter. It's a great idea Alan, it would also make the most of the field
of the taking lenses; no vignetting. ...but of course, it would waste film.
A pair of binoculars provides a circular image, so why shouldn't looking
through a 3D viewer be the same?
I'm hypothesising, I suppose.
