I checked out Monte Ramstad new "slide show" featuring
some of Dr.Dave's famous :-) hyper shots at,
www.pokescope.com
I didn't have any problems with the "slide show" viewer.
It worked very well. The only nit pick is that there might
be some confusion with the parallel and cross-eyed
button and the other buttons, although once it's pointed
out, it's clear enough.

On another note, Monte wrote awhile back that it might
be wishful thinking that the Pokescope could be used
to view up/down stereo views. I assure Monte and any
one else that cares to try it, that it works! :-) You have
rotate the PokeScope 90 degrees and depending on
the stereo pair orientation, and which eye you use, look
through either the top or bottom of the PokeScope.

So, if you have the "right" image on top, and "left"
image on the bottom (same orientation as the View-
Magic up/down viewer), then you view the up/down
stereo pair through the top prism (on the PokeScope),
with your right eye. Left eye, bottom prism.

I've uploaded a wide format example to try out, on
egroups,
http://www.egroups.com/files/photo-3d/3d/yanni.jpg
Back off (aprox. 4 feet) till you can fuse the top and
bottom images.

A few years back, I reported on how this can also be
accomplished with Alan's Freeviewer Assistant (to
another disbelieving audience!). Before that, I used to
do something similar with my own home made Plexi-
glass prisms. The plans I originally found, many
years ago, on the net. It was intended for flying
stereoscopically with Microsoft's Flight Simulator!
