The default with its own Optilite flash was 5.6 which was set automaticaly but I dont know whether this would work with other flashes,if the cameras red light indicated the need for flash it would be at 5.6. The automatic setting was I think controlled by the second pin connection which also overode the red led to give a green light when the flash was sufficiently charged. One pin flashes presumably would not do this but yours is perhaps two or even three pins even then I dont know if the extra pins would have the same function as the optilite was described as "Dedicated" to the Nimslo.
