I would be very interested in a way to override the f5.6 setting that
the camera uses when any flash is put on the hotshoe. I suppose one
might use a separate flash bracket if there were another way to attach
the flash for synchronization. That Burdlo override button sounds great.
Re: the suggestion below, I don't think that it matters how much light
the camera or the flash sees, the camera just goes to the default 5.6.
So even even fill flash is not practical.
My understanding is that the only "dedication" of the optilite flash
involves the LED indicators in the camera window. Any flash should work
with the Nimslo as long as the appropriate flash settings are used for
f5.6. -Linda
