[photo-3d] Sight VS Vision

What exactly is the difference between sight and vision? The way I
understand it....sight is the process of receiving images to the brain,
whereas vision is " processed" by the brain to recognize or interpret
the sight. Am I close to understanding this correctly? Thanks.
