And what if you forget about it, you are not around the
computer, your boss is over your back, you had to go to
the bathroom, you took short nap, your wife and children
are distracting you, there was a good show on TV, someone
called and you could not get off the phone, there was an
earthquake, a hurricane.....???

Robert, it is time you enter the 21st century and investigate
some sniping programs that will place the bid for you any
time of the day... even (especially) during your sleep.
