A lot of people are impulse ebay buyers. Even someone
like myself with extensive experience I do impulse buying
in items for which I don't know anything about or don't
consider worth my time to investigate further. When my
son wanted a Lego Soccer for his birthday (out of the
stores this Christmas) all I did was to get on ebay and
look for the ones closing the next few hours. I think
I paid a little bit more for the one I got but I did not
have the time or interest to investigate price fluctuations.

I expect that some people who buy a Stereo Realist
for $135 fall in the same category. They saw it, they
trust the description/seller, it is reasonably priced
(considering that a local photo store is asking $175
for theirs), they buy it. Yes... a day earlier or
an hour later they could have had another Realist
for $92 but they don't really care.
