Interesting. Do you happen to wear reading glasses? That might account for it.
If not, I wonder if it depends on the individual, or maybe a monitor factor 
(although
I do see the same effect on different monitors). In anycase  I definitely 
see the red
closer. It would be interesting if you zoom in and report your observations.
