I did try this, but it may be to subtle to see clearly. Especially when your
cranking away on the advance knob.
I will probably try this again with a more scientific setup. I can probably
put the camera on my light box and block out all the light but what goes
through the lens. Also It would help to lock down the camera so it isn't
moving around when i'm winding.

Could this hypothesis be tested by advancing aggressively with
the camera back open?  If the camera requires film to be present
to advance agressively, you might have to do it with clear film.
