I have just uploaded a file in my folder <DrDave> that shows
excessive parallax in a macro image. In this case the distance
between the near and far objects are only in inches.

The set up was an RBT X3A with an RBT Macro Attachment. The
lens is 105mm and the stereobase is 11mm. The magnification is
close to 1:1 in this image. I don't know how to calculate the
distance to the near point as the lens is on a bellows and the
light path is redirected by use of two front surface mirrors.
Would it be from subject to film plane or to focal point in
the lens? If the former I would guess that it is probably 8-10
inches at least.

Be forewarned that this image contains an explicit and graphic
sexual scene. If this sort of image offends you then do not
open the file.
