I agree that the Belplasca is a bit different in the film loading area. But,
like Ernie, I have not had to cut the film in any way. On my Belplasca I
just slide the film under the  open end of the two slots - there is
sufficient friction to hold the film and the system seems to work without
any problems.

Perhaps not all Belplascas have the same type of take up spool. Mine seems
to be the same as Ernie's. Ron, does yours have the double slot spool?
