I had not realised there was a slight difference in the size of the cartridges I will try to shim my FED. I have in the past had problems with the camera failing to wind on at all towards the end of a 36 roll. When I read "Hard" filmadvance I thought at first that yours did not have the slipping clutch which can cause this problem, but I see below that it does. It is possible to stop the clutch slipping altogether but I have not attempted this so far.

I will try these suggestions although I am not quite shure what you mean by "crease the film"

I have had some problems with light leaks but they do not sound as bad as this,
I tape around the shutter button mounting but not the back seam and that seems to do it. P.J.Homer
