Paul,
In order not to spend too much time on-line (we have telephone
rates over here) I mostly download the images.
Then I use an image viewing programm (in my case the freeware
windows viewer Irfanview, see:  
http://www.irfanview.com/english.htm     )
By just hitting the Grey - key a few times I can makes all 
images smaller, to parallel free viewing size.
