I prefer to tape the chips, as opposed to taping the pinbars, or bending
them. If you're not careful....excess tape along the pinbar can prevent
the mount from snapping closed, or can cause the mount to work itself
loose. Taping seems best. Wouldn't bending the pinbar make window
adjustments difficult?                                         Mark
