No I didn't do any actual measurements. I know what the
problem with this image is (excessive deviation between near
and far points).
I am forced to use a "fixed" setup with the RBT Macro and was
just wondering if there was anyway to reduce this problem.
Once again it uses a 105mm lens on a bellows that magnifies
from approximately 1:3 to 1:1. Inside the bellows is two front
surface mirrors that "spread" the image from either the 6mm or
11mm stereobase out to the 65mm interlens spacing of the RBT
body. Focusing is done by moving the entire unit closer or
farther from the subject.
Is there anyone out there that can do the math and tell me
what the maximum near and farpoints are for this setup
assuming a 1.2mm mofd?
Thanks,
