Since you bring up the JoRi, I have to agree there is a bit of inherit
chromatic aberrations due to the acrylic lenses. I can't compare it to
Alan Lewis's new Lorgnette but I no doubt that it is much better. The
reason I say that is not only because it uses better lenses. Although
there were raving reviews on the JoRi, I had the opportunity to buy
them when they were first introduced at Mesa.

The JoRi was very nicely designed and I was tempted to buy one BUT
what stopped me was another major flaw other than the obvious left-
right chromatic aberrations. The lenses were offset so that the eye
does not view from the up/down center of the lenses. This resulted
in the JoRi not only having inherit left/right chromatic
aberrations but also unnecessary up/down chromatic aberrations. As
much as I liked the other parts of the design, I passed on the JoRi.
