I just wanted to point something out.  Mike is talking about a set of
pictures he took (which I have not had the pleasure to see) of one of
the last flying B-17's in existence.  The full article makes it plain
that he was given a level of access to this aircraft that only a
handful of people in the world will ever get.  The amount of care
taken to ensure that he walked away with 100% sucess was most
certainly warranted.

I would expect any professional photographer (and for all I know Mike
is a pro) in the same situation to take the same care.  The biggest
differences (besides not shooting in stereo) are that a pro would
likely have an assistant helping out and that the pro's high powered
calculator and programs would likely be in the form of an electronic
camera and metering system.
