http://www.stereokino.ru/historen.htm tell us about the very first (before WWII) Ivanov's movie, shot and projected by beamplitters.
The links from that english web page led me nowhere, but from the corresponding page (on the cyrillic side) I found a very accurate description http://www.stereokino.ru/rastr.htm  
I don't speak russian but http://www.translate.ru/eng/srvurl.asp gave me an acceptable translation.
Althought only 4 movie halls had Ivanov's raster screens, according to http://www.stereokino.ru/ the former USSR had plenty of 3d movie theatres spread all  over the whole vaste country.
