[photo-3d] RBT/Spicer mount window differences

Has anyone using RBT mount jigs for easy Spicer mounting
noticed that the respective 5p and 7p window apertures are
different in size? I often set the near point just inside the RBT
stereo window but find that such chip spacing leads to a
violation of the Spicer window in some cases.

Using the pushed out Spicer window paper chips as a gauge
against the RBT windows, it's clear that the Spicer 5p aperture
is wider than the RBT, while the 7p is a tad smaller. There are
probably slight differences between corresponding window
centers as well.

So if one is treading these thin lines, delicate window settings
need to be previewed by laying the intended Spicer mount over
the RBT jig, prior to transfer. Or is this standard operating
procedure? :>) Of course I'd like to learn all about the origin
of these slight differences.
