Try (sound of my own horn blowing...) :>)

The images are a bit large in terms of bytes, but should
automatically resize to fit your browser window (thanks to a tip
I learned here).

In my (not so long) experience, the benefits of using a "SAM"
setup simply cannot be overemphasized. "SAM" = stereo active
mounting (?), meaning that you see the stereo window and
how its apparent position changes *in real time* as you move
the chips closer together or further apart. With practice, it
becomes a joy to set the window *exactly* where you want it,
where other people will enjoy seeing it too.

A "SAM" system doesn't have to be fancy. There are two Peak
(Japanese company name) stereo magnifiers, both of which
have adjustable interocular spacing, are durably made, and
should cost less than $30. The simple lenses are 4X or 2X. I use
the 4X for the "SAM" thing and the 2X for previewing pairs in
translucent sorting boxes. Other lens pairs or hand viewer parts
could be used with equal or better results I'm sure.

P.S. Peter, are you still looking for a nice Belplasca? :>)
