I think that the viewer on eBay is for looking at a stereo pair
mounted side by side in a single 2" x 2" slide mount.

In the 1950s Zeiss, Leica, Nikon and (I think) Canon had lovely twin
side by side lenses that mounted on their interchangeable lens
rangefinder cameras. This lens could be used as is for close up stereo
work or with a double prism device to give effective lens separation
for normal stereo pairs. As each stereo pair was within the single 24
mm x 36 mm image size of the standard 2" x 2" slide.

I assume that the viewer transposes the images. Someone on P3D will
know if it does this or not.

$400 is a lot to pay if it does not include transposition.
