I have wondered for some time whether the interocular adjustment isn't set
for some
distance between one's own eye spacing and the optical center of the slide.
I have
noticed that I only need to set the spacing once for any viewing session
and
usually this is because someone else has readjusted it. I have never found
that
adjustment makes my viewing more comfortable or helps fuse the images in
any way.
But I have found that adjusting the interoccular will allow me to see both
images
full frame. If the adjustment is off, the inside or outside edges may be
off-
screen.
