Even using B&W film the chromatic aberation will be still
be there...it will show as grey fringes rather than full
colour ones. Perhaps an orthochromatic film would hide it
best but I do not know of any in 120 roll size, just 35mm &
sheet film. Perhaps you can get something from Agfa that they
do not export to us here in the US of A....

I presume (and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) that the
most noticable fringes were red? Perhaps using a green or blue
filter will remove the offending wavelengths.

Ilford XP2 and Kodak T400CN offer B&W emulsions with the convenience
of C-41 processing and a good bit of exposure latitude but their
rated speeds (400) are hardly suitable for 1/50 at 11 or 16 in
average sunlight.

Good luck,

Mike C
