I've used two different approaches, and each has its pros and cons: (1) 2
Carousel projectors stacked one on top of the other with an inexpensive frame
purchased from Reel 3-D, and (2) mounting the mounted slides side by side,
with a cardboard spacer between them, so the total length of the mounted pair
matches the length of a standard Realist mount, and projecting them using the
rear channel of the slide carrier in the TDC 116 projector. Either way, you
have to make sure the original mounts in the 2x2s do not suffer from
misalignment (vertical, horizonta or rotational). Misalignment is pretty
easy to come by in twin full frame rigs. Since I use a twin rig consisting
of two vertically oriented cameras, I regularly experience vertical
misalignment and have to correct for it later, by remounting.
