Whatever their design strategy, they have made a great projector for
presenting correctly mounted slides.
My understanding is that the original stereo projector design was by
Kodak Germany back in the early 1960s. The Kodak stereo projector
never went into production. I further understand that RBT
substantially upgraded that original Kodak design when they put the
projector into production 2 to 3 decades later.
I have had my RBT 101 for 4 years and it has never missed a beat. The
ability to load a set of selected slides into a cartridge and view
them in brilliant stereo on the silver screen without a single
adjustment makes 3D projection very close to the ease of use and ease
of viewing that the mono slide guys have been enjoying for decades. In
our case we see it all in that magic that is 3D.
But, there is an even better projecting system than an RPT projector -
two RBT projectors and a Bäsken Controller.
