I don't know if the screen material is really fabric or not, but if it's
fabric, maybe the edges can be made to shrink...but you'd have to be able to
make the screen taut while you did this. In drama we learned to make flats
for backdrops. We'd make a wooden frame, put muslin across it, then use a
paintbrush to spread a thin slurry of elmer's glue mixed with water on it.
As it dried it shrank and got nice and taut. Then we could paint it. Seems
like one might get away with doing this just along the edges of a fabric
screen's back side. But I'd sure test it on a small spot first before doing
the whole edge, to see the results. If the edges shrank too much you'd be
sagging in the middle (although that might lend realism to stereo shots of
older people :) ).
Anyway, FWIW.
By the way George, if there's a Mrs. T., your wife must be a SAINT to let
you buy all those nice toys!
