Another category is that of assembling more than one set of images together
through combining a new pair of images with a previously existing pair of
images. Examples include blue screen, green screen, and other keying
operations, and of course, front projection. For example, I have some
stereo pairs shot with a Realist that I later combined with a pair shot with
Nord portrait cameras (180mm lenses on 120 film) with my stereoscopic front
projection system. By adjusting the stereo base to compensate for the
different formats and focal lengths, the z-axis of both images was
proportional and the parallax progression was consistent for matching of the
various parts of each image for the correct depth proportions throughout the
composites.
