Hi all,
You may recall that I asked some time back about using larger diameter
lenses for viewing Realist format slides. The responses were very helpful.
But now I have more questions:
If one can use two achromats together to achieve half the focal length of a
single one, then what would you get for focal length with three achromats
together? For example, I can get a half dozen 38mm diameter achromats with
140mm focal length; would three together give you half of half of 140, i.e.,
35mm FL? Can you predict how pleasing the view would be at this FL with the
38mm wide lenses, using this combination for 35mm stereo? I'm thinking that
the shorter FL would make everything appear just a bit larger than with a
red button, and more immersive from the larger lenses.
Best regards,
Mike Galazin
