Responding to my question why I cannot see the
misalignment in the RBT mounts, Bob Aldridge writes:

Well... From all the people around here you would expect
that I would be able to see it... With aluminum mounts
that's no problem. The top and bottom edges of the
mount are sharp and clean and, no Abram, a mounting
gauge is not needed. With the RBTs usually this
is the case too, except for some isolated cases.

What are "the modern lenses"?

Because I did not expect to see any problems in
projection. I wanted to select 50 slides to complete
a program. Once this was done then I critically
examined each slide by dropping them one-at-a-time
in the RBT slot and adjusting as needed, one at a time.
