Coupling cameras has been realised with a number of them, but generally the lens interval is much higher than 70mm. 
Choosing the smallest 35mm camera, i.e.the MINOX 35, (it has automatic exposure)- allows to reduce the basis to 101mm and even 70 if you put one camera slighly shifted , in front of the other.A perfect sync. is obtained in switching the battery voltages, by means of a temporary contact switch.
 The coupling bar can be made by any skilled mechanic;if anyone wants to undertake this work, I should send him drawings and full information,for a 10 Łor 15$ cash. 
 P.S. The first step is to unearth two mINOX 35 camrs in a good condition !
