I'm sure that you're right - but how many would-be digital stereographers 
want to really get into digital image manipulation? What I'm suggesting is 
that the digital equipment is still too expensive for adequate performance...

Actually, it's my prediction (that I've been making for a year or two...) 
that in a reasonably short space of time one of the digital camera 
manufacturers will come out with a digital stereo camera which incorporates 
the firmware to output JPS images straight to 3-D viewing devices.

It'll be just like the '50s all over again! With even less input from the 
punters...
