[photo-3d] Slides from digital

Set your screen resolution to 1200 x 1600 or more and photograph the
screen. This is like 30 cents per slide. Even 768 x 1024 is adequate.
I have used this a lot to make 2x2 slides for a talk and even to make
realist format 5perf slides for projection.

I am now scanning 50 5x7" glass negative stereo views I bought at the
Skinner auction last week. I am converting them now to anaglyphs for
viewing on the computer. I like "3D Stereo Image Factory Plus 2.5" for
this. Eventually I will make parallel views and photograph them onto slide
film, then mount them for projection. This is tricky and requires precise
cropping before taking the photos.

The scanning is done on an Epson 1640SUphoto with the 4x5" transparency
adaptor. You scan one end of the glass, then move it over and do the other
end. There is a very slight tilt but it isn't noticeable in the images.
