[photo-3d] Flash for Canon Rebel X twin rig?

I know several people on this list are using twinned Canon Rebel X 
cameras.  I'd like to know if there's a way to use an electronic flash with 
such a rig?  Are the cameras sync'ed closely enough to work with a single 
flash?  If so, is there a way to get the flash to fire for both cameras, so 
that each camera's auto-exposure mechanism believes it has a dedicated flash?
