Wow!!! - what is all this business about digital taking over from 
film???
Of course digital camera's will improve drastically in the next few 
years and will aquire devotees who would die for it.
Not me, however. I love film and I can digitise it if I want to.
I really don't see that it matters at all, there will always be 
photographers who will prefer film and there are those who will 
prefer digital.
Use what you want is the answer.
I do have both, but give me a good fine grain colour film or black & 
white reversal every time.There is no similarity at all. Film is SO 
much sharper.
