Try the Sunpak 383 with 4 NiMH "AA" cells and charger.  The flash is $70 at 
B&H.  It has a swivel head, a nice slide calculator, auto, lots of 
power.  Someone on this group recommended it and I like it.  Get an extra 
set of batteries at $10.  -Ralph
