Maybe you're referring to that incredible hovering jet slide Gary Schacker
created? I don't mind taking credit for it though, it's an amazing image!
I imagine that there will be digital cameras that will be able to sync up as
well as the twinned Ricoh XR-10Ms Gary used for that shot, and which I often
use as well. Since many digital camera designs allow separations of less
than 65mm when twinned there might not be any real need for a dedicated
digital stereo camera. Varying the stereobase while shooting is one of my
favorite ways to pass the time.

The collective buying power of the 3D community probably isn't enough to
influence much of anything (and that's assuming we'd ever agree to buy the
same thing!) I'm hoping to be able to buy one or two digital cameras one of
these days. I can see where this would be ideal for creating anaglyph
prints and many other applications (not for creating or projecting
transparencies though.) For now, I'm "clinging" to the technology that
yields the best results. Incidentally I recently told my Sputnik about how
digital technology was about to overtake film, and it just laughed at me and
called me a Cossack! Jim Harp
