S3D KinDar Ultra Close-Up Stereo Lens

I've put my KinDar on ebay.
This is a stereo lens made for the Exakta SLR. It was designed by Seton
Rochwite, who designed the Stereo Realist camera. There were only about 100
made. It features through the lens composing and focusing. It has a fixed
focus of 9" but with the addition of the +3 supplementary lenses, focusing
can be extended to 3". Minus supplementary lenses can be used to extend the
focus beyond 9" but the filter threads on the lens are not standard and a
custom filter adapter will have to be made. I know two KinDar users who have
had this adapter made for their cameras.
The lens is similar to the Leica stereo attachments except that it's made
specifically for close-up stereo photography. The lens splits a normal 8
sproket image into two 4 sproket images. There is an integrated septum that
extends to the film plane to keep the images from overlapping.
Use EMDE ultra close-up , Albion Nimslo mounts or RBTs to mount the film
chips.
Two KinDar +3 supplementary lenses are included, as is an Exakta VX2a camera.
I've posted a JPEG of the original KinDar flyer and a copy of a letter by
Seton Rochwite regarding the specs and the differences between the KinDar and
the Hyponar.
I'm keeping my Hyponar :) Dave
