I've given away my 116 because my $100 transformer was too heavy & bulky to
be carried around! after the swap, the guy who got the 116 spent <<$100 for
220V conversion (a new engine and 2 new lamps!).

That guy told me he did the job himself, and he hadn't any reason to tell me
lies...
anyway I once dismounted my project-or-view & realized that its engine is
amazingly easy to replace... probably somebody in this list (or in P3d)
knows how to do the job on a 116 (btw: I got the p.o.w. exploded plans from
Dalia Miller).
The main reason to modify power supply to 220V are erratic delivery delays
from the USA: at least to Italy, I don't know to your Country.
Nothing goes lost, but once I waited 5 weeks for 2 simple Wein cell
batteries!! Too much for refills or spare parts.
