I had a similar problem with a 3D camera shipped by USPS priority. The
camera was received non-functioning. Being a nice guy (!) I didn't blame
the seller - who described the camera as 'perfectly functioning' - but
rather USPS. Well, I filed an insurance claim, which requires the
seller/shipper to sign. He refused to sign, and I was stuck with an
insurance claim the post office wouldn't honor. It took me 7 months to
resolve this (the seller NEVER signed) and I finally received payment
for the damage.
