On another topic:  I recently described my use of 'toe in' on a 3D pair of
video cameras, to solve stereo window placement on a TV screen.  I
understand the distortions created by this method.  (Ferwerda has a
beautiful illustration of the results on pages 92 and 94.)  

BUT, let's say that I'm shooting down at a table top model, (HO scale trains
for example).  In order to look at the table top, my eyes must 'toe in'.
(I'm assuming that there is no way to look off into the distance.)  Isn't
the same distortion built into my 'actual' view of the model?  Doesn't the
camera-created distortion thus acurately reproduce my experience at the table?  

Would camera 'toe in' be desirable in this case?
